Be Visible, Woman

Alae and I attended the Visible Women ‘Fashion Edition’ event in London yesterday, which was filled with inspiring conversations with brilliant women (one of my favourite things to do) on all things fashion. Visible Women is an amazing campaign around women in leadership based in London that you would be a fool not to find out about.

We loved the head wrap tutorials (surprisingly easy!) and the bra fitting workshops (surprisingly hard!)- and we felt a lot more knowledgable than we are used to on a Saturday.

But the most important skills we were reminded to master are naturally the more difficult ones- how to prevent fear from stopping you from being GREAT, and to make sure you always remember to look for ways to help as well be helped.

As we were obviously repping SBA- the dress I wore was handmade in Kenya by SOKO for ASOS Africa, (£50 still available here), who describe it as “geometric kitenge print inspired by East African fabrics”.

Worn with my long serving Kurt Geiger heels & black River Island blazer. Bag: Accessorize, Bracelets: MyAsho
